Harrison sits on the east side of Chickamauga Lake in Hamilton County, northeast of Chattanooga. It is home to Harrison Bay State Park, Tennessee’s first state park, and the bay takes its name from the old town of Harrison, once the Hamilton County seat and now partly under the lake. Today Harrison is mostly lake homes, wooded lots and acreage, with plenty of tall pines and hardwoods.

What about trees on my own land near the water?
Trees on your own land can be removed, but shoreline trees help hold the bank. Pruning for a view, or removing only the trees that threaten the house or dock, is often the better choice.
Is Harrison inside Chattanooga?
No. Harrison is an unincorporated community in Hamilton County, so city of Chattanooga services such as curbside brush pickup don't apply. Most crews haul debris away as part of the job.
